Minutes:

President Dickie Martin opened the general meeting at 12:45 pm.

 Bylaws on the table were voted and approved, no opposition.

 

 New Orangeburg Patch president Dot Dantzler was introduced and welcomed. She reported that 25 people were present at their first informational meeting and about 20 and their second meeting. They are going to meet the 4th Tuesday of every month. Their name will be Edisto Patch. Joy Zeigler is the co-leader. Cypress Patch member, Betsy Sloan will be back for their May meeting.

 

President Dickie Martin asked if there were any new nominations for office elections.

There were no new names put forward. Elections were held for the office of President, Vice President, Treasurer/Membership and Publicity/Promotions.

Those on the election ticket were: Dickie Martin-President, Vice President-Peggy Ashe, Treasurer/Membership- Angie Craft and Betsy Sloan-Publicity/Promotions.

Elections were held and 16 votes were taken. All nominees were voted in with no opposition on a written ballot.

Cass Meindardi has agreed to do the newsletter for one more year.

 

Marianne Barnes, SC Gourd Day chair, will be taking suggestions via e-mail for next year’s gourd day.

The general comment on the day was “Us’n did a good job”

President, Dickie Martin will follow up with e-mails after this event.

The meeting was adjourned.
